Robard’s New Direction® Advanced Weight Management System

This complete nutritional meal replacement program is designed to help patients with obesity lose weight safely, quickly, and sustainably.

Weight loss clinic patients must first complete a medical screening to see if it is safe for them to participate in a very low calorie diet program. Once confirmed, participants will consume nutritionally complete products and learn and practice weight management skills without the influence of food. While practicing newly learned eating and exercise habits, participants gradually transition back to grocery meals. A new meal plan is then determined with the help of our staff.

Expected average weight loss from the Robard’s New Direction® Advanced weight management system program for meal replacements is 36 lbs in 12 weeks!

Patients are medically screened to see if it is safe for them to participate in our very low calorie diet meal replacement program.

What Is Obesity?

Obesity is a chronic condition defined by an excess amount of body fat that occurs when people take in more calories than they burn over a long period of time. In addition to impacting one’s quality of life, obesity also increases the risk of developing serious health conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. It is generally understood that those with a body mass index (BMI)of 25 are overweight, and those with a BMI of at least 30 are obese, although BMI does not directly measure body fat. The prevalence of obesity has more than doubled worldwide since 1980. According to the World Health Organization, 600 million people were obese in 2014, equating to 13% of the world’s adult population. Although it’s not essential that those obesity seek diagnosis, medical advice may help those concerned with the increased likelihood of complications.

Chronic obesity puts people at risk for arthritis, stroke, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as esophageal, endometrial, colorectal, kidney, and postmenopausal breast cancers. Treatment for obesity involves a personalized combination of eating healthy, exercising regularly, and treating any underlying conditions. Prescribed weight loss medication and surgery are also provided in our weight loss clinic in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley.
